A shared love of chamber music.
Interim Ensemble was founded by a group of friends and long-time string players who share a deep appreciation for the art of making music together.
Our performances are shaped by decades of collective experience in community orchestras, chamber groups, and countless musical collaborations. Each member brings their own story and sound — and together, we find joy in the moments where everything connects:
the music, the space, and the people listening.
Our philosophy
We believe that live music should feel alive — personal, unforced, and full of presence.
Whether we’re performing a Bach quartet or a Beatles arrangement, our goal is to create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and timeless. Every piece we play is chosen with care and shaped by the occasion, ensuring that the music always serves the moment.
Why “Interim”?
The name Interim reflects the idea of music as something that lives between — between one moment and the next, between performer and listener, between familiarity and discovery.
It’s also a nod to the ensemble’s flexible spirit. While we often perform as a string quartet, our vision is to grow into a collective that can adapt to each occasion — from duos and trios to larger chamber groups — always centered on collaboration and connection.
